Friends of the Swissvale Library

Friends groups operate separately from their library but existing solely to support the library.

The Friends of the Swissvale Library host events in support of the library, including the two annual “Book and Bake” sales (held in April and October) and a “Summer Craft” sale. These funds help purchase items and services that otherwise would not be available for the library’s users and that improve the library. Additionally, the Friends group pays all of the costs associated with programming for children, teens and families, including the Summer Reading Program. The Friends group is invaluable to Swissvale Library, providing volunteer support.

Applications for membership are available at the library.
